Error opening printer registry key

These steps will need to be done by the local/network administrator:

1) Run regedit (Start Menu > Run)
     Vista users: Type Regedit in search field
2) CHAX users:
  • Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CHAX
  • Right click on Registry entry CHAX and select PERMISSIONS
  • Give full control permissions for current user (or everyone)
  • Expand the Registry entry CHAX and delete all MICR keys
  • Login in as current user
3) MultiCHAX users:

  • Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MULTICHAX
  • Right click on Registry entry MULTICHAX and select PERMISSIONS
  • Give full control permissions for current user (or everyone)
  • Expand the Registry entry MULTICHAX and delete all MICR keys
  • Login in as current user
